UIC is implementing Adaptive from Workday to modernize financial planning and provide leadership with a comprehensive, forward-looking view of the University’s financial position. The platform will replace fragmented spreadsheets, legacy databases, static reporting, and manually consolidated data with an integrated, cloud-based environment for budgeting, forecasting, scenario modeling, performance monitoring, and executive reporting.

Through automated data integration, standardized assumptions and metrics, role-based workflows, audit trails, and real-time dashboards, Adaptive Planning will establish a more reliable single source of truth while enabling faster, more collaborative, and transparent decision-making.

The implementation will support six interconnected planning modules that bring together UIC’s operating, capital, enrollment, tuition, workforce, and credit planning within a common financial framework. Collectively, these capabilities will help UIC transition from labor-intensive and reactive processes to proactive scenario analysis, integrated decision-making, improved resource prioritization, and timely executive-level insights.
